Here are the 5 experiences to add to your bucket list:

1. Peak Walk at Glacier 3000

Taking a walk on a suspended bridge at an altitude of 3000 meters is an experience you are not likely to forget! Overlooking the glacier of Les Diablerets amid panoramic mountain views, the Peak Walk by Tissot on the Glacier 3000 is the world’s only suspension bridge connecting two summits (highest point of a hill or mountain). This adrenaline filled experience is one of the many activities offered by the summit station of the glacier above Les Diablerets. Others include glacier walks (on foot, in a snow bus or on a sled pulled by Nordic dogs), Alpine Coaster, downhill skiing and snowboarding. The restaurants in the futuristic Botta 3000 building are also well worth a visit.

2. First Skiing experience at Montreux Riviera Ski School Carte Blanche

Never skied before? Montreux Riviera is home to the first ski experience with Carte Blanche service. Montreux Riviera Ski School Carte Blanche offers the most personalised skiing experience that exists in Switzerland. The entire experience is arranged, from transport, to equipment and restaurant bookings. The ski instructor is the mountain concierge who takes care of all the details of the skiing holiday. With the exceptional concept of the Carte Blanche service, one has to only choose the resort for the stay and clarify his or her skiing objectives, while all other logistics are taken care of by the professional instructors.

3. Chaplin’s World

Chaplin’s World is the only museum in the world dedicated to Charlie Chaplin and offers visitors the opportuity to experience a range of tributes to Chaplin the artist, composer, and musician. The museum is built around Charlie Chaplin’s own home high up in the mountains, overlooking Lake Geneva.

4. Plateforme 10

After a decade of planning, the new cultural destination, Plateforme 10, had opened in Lausanne, Canton de Vaud, last year. It is home to three museums, each with their own distinct identities: the Musée cantonal des Beaux-Arts (fine arts- now open), the mudac (design and applied arts - expected to open in 2022) and the Musée de l’Elysée (photography - expected to open in 2022)

Musée Cantonal des Beaux-Arts recently inaugurated the temporary exhibition: Kiki Smith. Hearing You with My Eyes. The slogan for the permanent exhibition is Come and see here what you won’t see elsewhere!, laid out chronologically over two floors to showcase treasures from Vaud’s art collections, with some three hundred works dating from the eighteenth century to the present day.

Located next to the train station, it is also a living space that hosts restaurants, relaxation areas, boutiques and bookshops. Plateforme 10 is a great one for all art lovers and expected to completely open by June 2022.

5. Goldenpass Panoramic

Immerse yourself in breathtaking scenery on one of the most ultra-modern trains found in the world. In addition to being extremely comfortable, the trains are fitted with panoramic windows for excellent views of the panoramic views. Once you have climbed aboard, the train seems to almost disappear, allowing you to be one with the landscape.
