A Celebration of Haute Joaillerie and Haute Horlogerie

The Swiss luxury Maison brings its extraordinary world of high jewellery and fine watchmaking to Shanghai, unveiling over 100 exceptional creations in an immersive exhibition celebrating artistry, imagination and craftsmanship.

Luxury takes on a magical dimension when exceptional gemstones, artistic imagination and masterful craftsmanship come together. This October, Swiss luxury Maison Chopard brought that vision to life in Shanghai with Miracles, an immersive exhibition celebrating the worlds of Haute Joaillerie and Haute Horlogerie.

Inaugurated on 24 October 2026 by Caroline Scheufele, Co-President and Artistic Director of Chopard, the exhibition transformed the iconic former Bund City Hall into a showcase of the Maison's creative universe. Running from 23 to 26 October, the four-day presentation brought together more than 100 remarkable creations, offering visitors an opportunity to explore the artistry and technical expertise that define Chopard.

An Enchanting Evening at Shanghai's Former Bund City Hall

The inauguration was marked by an elaborate gala inspired by the dreamlike spirit of Miracles. With orchid-hued décor setting the atmosphere, the evening unfolded through magic performances, acrobatic displays and a spectacular fashion presentation.

One of the highlights was a runway showcase pairing Chopard's Haute Joaillerie creations with silhouettes from Caroline's Couture, bringing together fine jewellery and fashion in a celebration of creativity and contemporary elegance.

The evening also welcomed several of the Maison's Ambassadors and Friends, who showcased exceptional Chopard creations.

Chopard Global Ambassador Liu Wen made an appearance in two looks featuring Haute Joaillerie parures, including a striking tanzanite necklace, complemented by a Happy Sport The First watch. Global Ambassador Zhu Yilong paired a Happy Diamonds Heritage timepiece with creations from the Red Carpet Collection.

Chopard Ambassador Liu Haocun and pianist Gina Alice also joined the celebrations, wearing Happy Sport The First timepieces alongside exquisite high jewellery creations.

Miracles: Where Nature Meets Imagination

At the heart of the exhibition was Chopard's 2026 Red Carpet Collection, Miracles, first unveiled at the 79th Cannes Film Festival.

Inspired by the extraordinary beauty found in everyday life and the natural world, the collection explores the relationship between imagination, nature and artistic expression. Through exceptional gemstones, vibrant compositions and intricate craftsmanship, each creation reflects the Maison's ability to transform inspiration into wearable works of art.

The collection celebrates the unexpected beauty of the world around us, translating its colours, forms and wonders into extraordinary jewellery pieces. It is an expression of Chopard's creative philosophy, where precious materials become a canvas for artistic storytelling.

Happy Diamonds: Celebrating 50 Years of a Jewellery Icon

Another significant highlight of Miracles was a dedicated space celebrating the 50-year legacy of Chopard's iconic Happy Diamonds concept.

First introduced in 1976, the revolutionary design was born from a simple yet distinctive philosophy: "Diamonds are happier when they are free."

Rather than being held in place, the diamonds move freely between two sapphire crystals, allowing them to dance and catch the light with every movement. This innovative concept became one of the Maison's most recognisable signatures, redefining the relationship between diamonds, movement and jewellery design.

The exhibition revisited this celebrated heritage while introducing visitors to the latest Happy Sport The First watches and Happy Diamonds creations, demonstrating how an iconic design language continues to evolve while remaining true to its original spirit.

The Art of Fine Watchmaking: L.U.C and Alpine Eagle

Beyond high jewellery, the Shanghai exhibition also offered a closer look at Chopard's expertise in fine watchmaking.

Dedicated spaces showcased the L.U.C and Alpine Eagle collections, highlighting the Maison's technical mastery, precision engineering and attention to detail.

The L.U.C collection represents Chopard's commitment to traditional Swiss watchmaking, bringing together sophisticated movements, refined aesthetics and horological complications. The Alpine Eagle, meanwhile, reflects a more contemporary interpretation of luxury watchmaking, with a distinctive design inspired by the strength and elegance of the Alpine landscape.

Together, these collections demonstrate the breadth of Chopard's expertise, spanning the artistic expression of high jewellery and the technical precision of haute horlogerie.

Chopard's Enduring Legacy of Creativity and Craftsmanship

With Miracles, Chopard offered more than an exhibition of exceptional jewellery and timepieces. It created an immersive journey into the Maison's values, bringing together heritage, innovation, artistry and a contemporary vision of luxury.

From the extraordinary gemstones of the Red Carpet Collection to the free-moving diamonds that have defined an iconic jewellery concept for five decades, and the mechanical sophistication of its fine watchmaking collections, the exhibition highlighted the many dimensions of Chopard's creative identity.

In Shanghai, Miracles became a celebration of the extraordinary: a reminder that true luxury lies not only in the rarity of precious materials, but also in the imagination, craftsmanship and artistic vision that bring them to life.
