Etcetera: Aiming to disrupt the “affordable luxury bags” segment


A new and bold entrant in the world of vegan bags, Etcetera is an Indian homegrown online brand that aims to be a well known name in the world of “Consciously priced luxury bags”. Founded in 2021, by Ashima Gulati, Delhi-based designer with a 25-year experience in the world of interior designing. Her passion for bags and love for textiles led to the ideation of the brand.


“The name ‘Etcetera’ is an interpretation of the endless possibilities that stay unexplored in the world of bags”, Ashima explains (Founder, Etcetera).

Mindfully steering away from leather, it uses a variety of lux fabrics such as velvets, handloom cottons and vegan leather; the brand recently launched its debut collection with a wide range of contemporary bags in a varied colour palette. The brand has experimented with a variety of textures and patterns, shapes and sizes to showcase an eclectic collection. Not following the clichéd styles, the bags are bold and cheerful.

Over the last year, the brand has gone from being an idea to an Instagram bloc shop to recently launching it’s website. Etcetera bags are currently available via it’s website (www.bagsetcetera.in) and shipping PAN India.

Over the next 2-years, the brand aims to be a recognised name in the world of affordable luxury in India and unlock international markets via strategic marketplace partnerships.
