Ferrari Luce: A New Era Begins

Ferrari has officially entered a bold new chapter with the unveiling of the Ferrari Luce, the marque’s first fully electric performance car. Revealed in Rome at the iconic Vela di Calatrava, the Luce represents far more than a shift in powertrain technology, it signals Ferrari’s vision for the future of high-performance mobility.

Designed in collaboration with Sir Jony Ive and Marc Newson’s creative collective LoveFrom, the Ferrari Luce combines cutting-edge engineering with an elegant, minimalist design language. Its sleek glasshouse silhouette, floating aerodynamic wings and sculpted surfaces create a futuristic form that remains unmistakably Ferrari.

Beneath the striking exterior lies a revolutionary electric architecture featuring four independent electric motors, one for each wheel, producing a staggering 1050 cv. Performance figures are equally dramatic: 0–100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds, a top speed exceeding 310 km/h and a driving range of more than 530 km. Advanced torque vectoring, active suspension and four-wheel steering work seamlessly together to deliver the sharp handling and driver engagement expected from the Prancing Horse.

Inside, Ferrari blends luxury with technology through a highly tactile cockpit featuring precision-engineered switches, digital displays and premium sustainable materials. The five-seat layout, a first for Ferrari also introduces a new level of practicality and comfort to the brand’s lineup.

Perhaps most intriguing is Ferrari’s innovative approach to sound. Rather than artificial noise, the Luce amplifies authentic mechanical frequencies generated by the car itself, preserving the emotional connection between driver and machine.

With more than 60 new patents and a fully in-house developed electric platform, the Ferrari Luce proves that electrification does not dilute Ferrari’s DNA. Instead, it opens the door to an entirely new kind of Ferrari, one that embraces innovation while staying true to the spirit of performance, emotion and design excellence.
