“Goa” is a beautiful city by the beach, incredibly popular with all ages, and easy to fall in love with. During my recent visit, I stayed at the Planet Hollywood Beach Resort located in Uttorda, South Goa. The resort is well known among the Bollywood circuit as Gauri Khan, the talented spouse of the famed Shahrukh Khan, is responsible for the design of the hotel-lobby; this hotel of fame is owned by the Viiking Ventures. It is not only famous for leisure travellers but highly popular for events and as a wedding destination too.
The resort is a tourist's paradise for its low-rise architecture depicting elegant Goan style, breathtaking landscapes, dramatic sculptures and artwork. From the impressive lobby to the Heart Bar to the Fame restaurant, everything seems lavish, perfect and seemingly designed to grasp your attention. The beautiful resort is built on a 10-acre piece of land and features 115 rooms that offer breath-taking views of the beautifully landscaped gardens and the pool and 3 Sea Chalets that offer the mesmerizing ocean view. Each room has a unique look with Hollywood collectables and endowed with soft mood lighting that matches one’s preference for class.
The hotel is located on the gorgeous, clean and serene “Uttorda beach” with a direct access for hotel guests. The Resort has a wonderful beach shack called the Poseidon’s Cove – Beach grill that exemplifies seaside dining and Goa, placing focus on fresh seafood and unique Asian culinary offerings. It combines a relaxed yet cheerful approach to dining with the best seasonal produce with breath-taking ocean views. We enjoyed some signature cocktails and chef’s choice menu made with fresh ingredients.
Planet Dailies is the all-day dining restaurant that presents a buffet featuring International, Far East Asian and Indian delicacies over breakfast, lunch and dinner. The restaurant also has an a la carte menu featuring fresh garden salads, gourmet sandwiches, wraps and local curries. The restaurant’s al fresco dining is a great place to enjoy a late breakfast or a laid-back lunch over cocktails. Chef Rodney Fernandes made the best Eggplant and squash Moussaka for me. It was lip smacking.

During this visit I experienced the Sea View Chalet, a perfect place for a tranquil escape. The chalet is exquisitely designed with all modern amenities along with a breathtaking ocean view to make you feel like you have entered a whole new world altogether!
The resort is spread across the beautiful greens and offers various indoor and outdoor activities like the kids’ recreational room, table tennis, carrom, swimming pool, spa, fitness center, plenty of outdoor yoga space and more, ideal for a perfect getaway. The hotel staff is amazing and they definitely made our stay memorable. I would highly recommend the amazing Planet Hollywood Beach Resort for your next vacation:)
