A. Lange & Söhne marks one of the most meaningful dates in its history with the launch of a rare and refined limited edition: the LANGE 1 DAYMATIC HONEYGOLD, restricted to 250 pieces. The release coincides with the brand’s immersive pop-up exhibition at Dubai Mall, offering collectors a timely opportunity to experience the craftsmanship behind the maison’s latest creation.

A Tribute to Heritage

It commemorates both Ferdinand Adolph Lange’s founding of German precision watchmaking in Glashütte in 1845, and the bold revival of the manufacture by Walter Lange in 1990. To honour this dual legacy, the maison introduces a new interpretation of its self-winding LANGE 1 DAYMATIC- one defined by exclusivity, meticulous detail, and the warm radiance of Honeygold.

Honeygold Meets a New Aesthetic

For the first time, the DAYMATIC appears in 750 Honeygold, an alloy reserved exclusively for A. Lange & Söhne and prized for its durability and distinct golden hue. Its warm glow is paired with a deep brown 925-silver dial, creating a colour combination that feels both understated and undeniably luxurious. Subtle depth comes from the slightly recessed hour-and-minute circle and the brand’s iconic outsize date, here executed in brown and white to match the dial.

A taupe, hand-stitched alligator leather strap and a solid Honeygold buckle complete the refined palette.

A Mirrored Classic

Introduced in 2010, the DAYMATIC remains faithful to the iconic LANGE 1 design while presenting a mirrored dial layout: hour and minute display on the right, subsidiary seconds and outsize date on the left. Instead of a power-reserve indicator, this self-winding model features a retrograde day-of-week display, integrating practical functionality without disrupting the harmony of the asymmetric design.

Mechanical Artistry: Calibre L021.1

Inside, the watch is powered by the in-house L021.1 self-winding calibre, distinguished by its traditional Glashütte-inspired architecture. A full-diameter rotor crafted from 21-carat gold with a platinum centrifugal mass ensures efficient winding and steady power delivery for up to 50 hours.

Visible through the sapphire-crystal caseback, the movement showcases the manufacture’s signature details: hand-engraved balance cock, glittering gold chatons, Glashütte ribbing, and finely polished surfaces. Each element underscores the artisanal character that defines every Lange timepiece.
