Bold, technical, and built for the depths — ZENITH redefines luxury dive watches with stealth titanium editions.
Since its inception in 1969, the ZENITH DEFY collection has symbolized uncompromising strength and horological innovation. Nicknamed the “time safe,” the original DEFY diver watch became a benchmark for rugged construction and water resistance. In 2024, ZENITH reintroduced this iconic legacy with the launch of the DEFY Extreme Diver and a faithful reissue of the beloved A3648 model. Now, ZENITH descends even deeper — introducing the DEFY Extreme Diver Shadow and DEFY Revival Diver Shadow — two stunning iterations rendered in micro-blasted titanium, combining vintage roots with futuristic aesthetics.

DEFY Extreme Diver: Designed for Depth, Engineered for Extremes
A modern evolution of the original 1969 DEFY diver, the DEFY Extreme Diver Shadow exudes technical prowess and visual impact. Encased in a robust 42.5mm micro-blasted titanium body, the watch is topped with a black ceramic unidirectional rotating bezel, filled with Super-LumiNova for unmatched visibility underwater. The signature dodecagonal base provides structure and distinction, while vivid yellow accents across the dial add a burst of high-contrast energy.

Purpose-built for saturation diving, the watch offers 600 meters of water resistance, a helium escape valve, and a screw-down crown with protective shoulders. Despite its utilitarian build, ZENITH integrates a rare exhibition case back that reveals the El Primero 3620 — a high-frequency automatic movement featuring a silicon paramagnetic escapement and a 60-hour power reserve.

Interchangeability is core to this diver’s identity. Alongside a micro-blasted titanium bracelet, the watch includes a black rubber Cordura-effect strap and a striking black-and-yellow fabric strap — all effortlessly swappable via the quick-change mechanism.

DEFY Revival Diver: A 1969 Classic Reborn in Stealth Titanium
A faithful tribute to the iconic DEFY A3648, the DEFY Revival Diver Shadow encapsulates vintage dive watch heritage in a contemporary form. Its 37mm faceted case, sculpted from micro-blasted titanium, retains the original’s signature fourteen-sided bezel, paired now with a yellow-tinted sapphire insert over the rotating ring.
Echoing the original’s quirky charm, the screw-down crown sits at 4:30, while a deep black dial with yellow highlights channels retro-modern energy. Super-LumiNova-coated markers and hands ensure functionality in even the darkest environments.
At its heart beats the Elite 670 calibre, an automatic movement providing a 50-hour power reserve, hours, minutes, seconds, and date. An exhibition case back, rare in watches with 600m resistance, showcases the star-shaped rotor finished with Geneva stripes.
Fitted with a titanium version of the iconic Gay Frères-style bracelet, the DEFY Revival Diver is a masterclass in combining nostalgia with technical refinement.

Legacy Meets Modernity at the Heart of Watchmaking
Both Shadow editions are now available through ZENITH boutiques, online platforms, and authorized global retailers.
With these latest additions, ZENITH once again proves why it has been at the forefront of Swiss horology since 1865. With industry-shaping innovations like the El Primero, a chronometry record unmatched with 2,333 prizes, and a modern-day reengineering of its historic calibre 135 in the G.F.J collection, ZENITH continues to empower adventurers and pioneers around the globe.
From Louis Blériot to Felix Baumgartner, ZENITH watches have accompanied those who defy the limits — and with the DEFY Extreme Diver and DEFY Revival Diver Shadow editions, that journey boldly continues into the abyss.
